What started as a simple cake basket on a farm track grew into something far bigger than I ever imagined.

My love of baking began with wedding cakes — handcrafted, heartfelt creations made from my kitchen table. Soon, that passion turned into an honesty hut filled with freshly baked slices for walkers passing through the valley. People came for cake… and kept coming back.

That little cake basket became the Tea Barn.

Today, Sonya’s Barn Bakery is proud to be part of one of Kent’s Top 3 Cafés — an open-fronted barn set amongst sweeping valley views and the iconic oast house at Little Fant Farm.

We serve a beautiful, ever-changing selection of farm-made cakes, baked fresh on site, alongside cream teas and seasonal favourites.

There’s no need to pre-book — just turn up, breathe in the countryside and choose your slice.

Afternoon Tea bookings are available for those wanting to stay a little longer and make it special.
